Pastor Allan Vann Horn came to Pensacola in March 2001 to assist the local Teen Challenge Center.  At the time of his arrival, there was a student enrollment of nine men.  Within just a short time, the program began to develop and more students needing help found their way to Pensacola.

Within months, Pensacola Teen Challenge became home to over 50 men.  Pastor Allan's desire and passion to help men in need, plus the vision God had birthed in him to expand the property to help even more men and their families prompted him to begin building projects that still continue today.

Pastor Allan and Gwen have been married since January 2002, and together they have worked to build the ministry of Pensacola Teen Challenge into what it is today.  From humble beginnings of just nine men to over 100 men in 2007, the ministry has grown in tremendous ways because of God's faithful call and vision in the lives of Pastor Allan and Gwen. 

The Vann Horns are also excited about pastoring Family Life Church, located on the Teen Challenge campus.  Birthed out of a desire to help people with life-controlling issues, Family Life Church focuses on the difficult issues of today that face every family.

 

As a graduate of Teen Challenge almost 15 years ago, Pastor Allan intimately knows and  understands the desperate cry of help that comes from families seeking help, and he has a vision to help teach families about addiction so that they can become better equipped to handle the issues that face them.  Families have a tremendous role to play in the recovery process, and his goal is to help parents, wives, husbands, children, other family members and even friends learn how to keep their loved ones accountable after graduating from the Teen Challenge program.

Wherever he goes, he shares his personal testimony to encourage discouraged moms, dads, wives, husbands, sons and daughters to trust in God's wonderful, miracle-working power in the life of their loved one.

 

Gwen enjoys working alongside her husband in the ministry.  She serves as Music Director for both Pensacola Teen Challenge Ministries and Family Life Church, as well as managing the newsletters, website, and other printed publications for the ministry.
